A weird but good start

Hello my name is Erica. I would be a college student in August and this is my blog. I wanted this blog because I wanted to have like a diary of my college experience. When August starts I would be officially an architecture student. My college is called Universidad de Puerto Rico (is a very big university and have a lot of students).

This blog is not going to be about architecture although it would be mention sometimes. This blog is about me starting a new life and my experiences. Let’s start then.

As I sat this morning in my laptop, I start thinking that I need a job really bad. I have never worked a day in my life and although I don’t need to I wanted to do something outside of my studies. This way I would prove to my parents that I’m a responsible student and capably of living by myself( MAYBE I live with my dad, my parents are divorce). Here in Puerto Rico just like in the U.S, the economy is pretty bad and finding a job when you have no experience whatsoever is so much harder. So I decided that in the mean time I would volunteer in a children’s hospital. Is kind of like a camp but for sick kids (is sad I know).

This is definitely not my best summer just to say. My boyfriend Jake of 5 months broke up with me and the funny thing is that it was not my fault. This is what he said: “I need to find myself and was thinking of breaking up for the last two weeks”. Now you could have imagined my face. It was so unexpected. I had no idea. So my best friend Mia thought that it would be funny to call him Voldemort( you know like in the Harry potter books). This way I wouldn’t have to say his name and eventually forget about him. Let’s see how that goes. Thank god he is in Texas this summer and I don’t have to see him at all.

PS. Anyways, this is my first entry and I know is short but I wanted to start a little slower (get you guys to know me better). I’m 18 and I drive. The reason I don’t live in campus is because I live like 30 minutes from college. My ex- boyfriend aka Voldemort (hahaha) is 21 and he is in a different college than me. My best friend Mia is the same age as me and will be going to the same college as me. Also I change everyone’s name except mine in case they read this blog someday. Sorry if I have spelling mistakes. Please know that English is not my first language.
